Lansberry Elementary is a culturally, and economically, diverse Pre-K through 4th grade elementary school of approximately 600 students. Our instructional programs will be focused on challenging and supporting each child, celebrating and developing their unique talents, and promoting appreciation for and tolerance of others. An accomplished and dedicated staff and involved parent community must be committed to maximizing the achievement of each student. A full range of related service staff will provide extensive academic and counselling support for children with special needs. Highlights of our program include the following:
- Balanced literacy programs that emphasizes the connections between reading and writing
- Comprehensive mathematics programs that stresses the concept development and problem solving
- Inquiry-based science programs that focuses on discovery and hands-on learning
- Technology integration through the "SuccessMaker" computer program and state-of-the-art computer labs
- Comprehensive English Language Learnings (formerly ESL) program
