I am Jared Jacoby Mitchell, Trinity High School's Head Men Basketball Coach; Assistant Coach, Football; and Classroom Instructor for Freshman Leadership and Health.
I am a proud 2012 graduate of Trinity High School where I lettered in football, basketball, track and baseball. After high school graduation I attended Paul Quinn College in Dallas where for four years I played college basketball. Upon graduation from Paul Quinn in 2016, I obtained my Bachelors degree in the field of Communication.
It is with great esteemed honor and Tiger pride that I am blessed to be able to return to my former high school and to my community. It is my desire to give back to the community that I call home. This is my first year as a full-time instructor. However, this school year begins my 4th year as a basketball coach.
After college graduation I began my coaching career in the TAPPS (private school) ranks with a year at Alcuin School (Dallas,Texas) and my last two years at John Paul II High School (Plano, Texas). At both of these schools I served as a Varsity Assistant. Our teams made playoff appearances each year that I coached there, to include a state tournament berth for John Paul II (2018-2019).
I am very elated to return to my hometown. In my current leadership roll it is my desire to help positively mold the minds and attitudes of our young men and women at Trinity High. I look forward to much success on the football field, the basketball court, the classroom and in the lives of the youth of our community.
