TISD Mental Health Department

The TISD Mental Health Department has been a part of the district since the 2020 - 2021 school year.  Our goal is to offer on site mental health support and care to our students and staff on all of our campuses.  Each year brings its own set of mental health challenges to our students and staff ranging from family conflict to COVID anxieties to grief support.  Our counselors are either school counseling certified, LPCs (Licensed Professional Counselor), or RPTs (Registered Play Therapist), with a wide variety of trainings on current issues and trends.
